The famous chain's new River Oaks location is a great addition to the neighborhood. It has a completely different vibe than Flemings, its 'directly across the street' competition. The bar is enormous, consistently packed, and filled with your stereotypical River Oaks crowd (mostly of an older age range). Despite this, the bar atmosphere is more sophisticated and sexy than any other steakhouse in Houston; there are still plenty of young people, a jazz band every night, and killer drinks and steaks. For a steakhouse, that's really all you need.
