Quick to catch onto the growing gastro-pub epidemic sweeping the Houston nightlife scene, Hearsay Gastro Lounge serves upscale cocktails and anything but bar food. The pub, located in a historic old-school building was previously owned by John Kennedy and was the site of a near right after the South surrendered. The rich history of the bar only invites more mystery to patrons who sip on expertly created concoctions like “The Twelve Spot” (Wild Turkey 101, orange juice and half a lime). At the same time, feast on fried asparagus battered with Saint Arnold’s beer or a burger stuffed with smoked bacon and rosemary fries. We don’t think there will be any objection to this hearsay testimony.
